Stardust Follies Reviews

“Don’t miss high-kicking Stardust Follies…a must see for fans of Hollywood , Broadway musicals. To begin with, the Stardust dance troupe of nine young high kickers provided a kaleidoscopic whirl of colour throughout the evening, whether in their brazenly-spare, spangled bras and G-strings, or by contrast, in their hot red Can-Can dresses. Full-group choreography was often industrial strength, yet pleasing in the intricacies…What brought the show to life in a big way were the seven solo vocalists, some of whom proven themselves excellent stylists and actors, and often excellent dancers as well…Overall, Stardust Follies is a very strong production and not to be missed”

"Stardust Follies is an impressive birthday present for the Sanderson Centre's 85th year. Songs like Don't Cry for Me Argentina and Memories were handled easily by the fine cast. But the dance segment in What A Feeling was a true showstopper "

Jeff Hurst, Editor Cambridge Times.

"Very entertaining and professional from start to finish. Particularly enjoyed the dancing. Plan on seeing it again"

Paul Bundy

“The performance of all participants was very high calibre and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. The choreography, visuals, and instrumentals were extremely well done. A show that the Sanderson Centre can be proud of! It’s nice to see a centre in Brantford that’s able to put on this type of show (without having to go to Toronto and deal with that traffic. Well done by all the actors, dancers and musicians, and everyone behind the scenes!)

Dianna Dunnigan

“Show has a wonderful grasp of Broadway! It’s an entertaining experience and leaves you feeling good.”

Eddie Graf, Composer and Arranger

We all were in unanimous agreement that ‘Don't Cry For Me Argentina ’ is without a doubt the greatest asset to the entire production.  It's the showstopper. You could have heard a pin drop last night after she sang that song.”

Joan Minnery, Independent Producer.

Your newest performance looks like it will be a winner. Overall a good performance for an opening night and it appeared to be very well received. Good job!”

Elaine Melito, HMC Tours

“Congratulations Stardust!! You truly have a hit on your hands!!”

Shirley A. Roy, EXPOSE YOURSELF! Publicity & Promotions

Stardust Follies is for sure is a show that you would not expect to see in a small Ontario town. There was a flair of Las Vegas in Brantford opening night. Given, that there is such a variety of dance and song numbers, it is hard to say which number was the best of the show. But Wendy Irvine's Argentina and the number from the musical Cabaret were absolutely outstanding. She has a really great voice and Celine Dion has to watch out next time she sings...’My Heart Will Go On.’ Congratulations. You got a winner here! I am sure that word of mouth will help sell out the show in the coming months and that everybody will have as enjoyable an evening as we did”

Brigitta Theimer, Euroliving, Oakville

“Look  forward to seeing the show again!”

Len Offless, Brantford Expositor

”Being in the music industry for as many years as I have, I am probably more critical than most, and I was one of the first to give this group a standing ovation for their performance"
